Set up the app

Open the MCP settings for the selected app and follow the steps below. Labels can change between versions; the publisher’s official guide is linked at the end of this page.

  1. 1Open the MCP settings or configuration file named in the client’s official guide.
  2. 2Copy the example below. If a server list already exists, add only Dattoria to it.
  3. 3Replace YOUR_DATTORIA_MCP_TOKEN with your key. Environment variables work only when the client supports them.
  4. 4Save the settings and restart the client or refresh its MCP server list.

Example for JSON clients

This shows the shape of a Bearer connection, not a universal config: syntax depends on the app. Choose an AI client in the catalog for its exact settings.

YAML
mcp_servers:
  dattoria:
    url: "https://mcp.dattoria.com/mcp"
    headers:
      Authorization: "Bearer ${DATTORIA_MCP_TOKEN}"

# Set DATTORIA_MCP_TOKEN in ~/.hermes/.env.

How to read this example

name Name is a local label for the connection; you can keep Dattoria.

url URL is the Dattoria server address. Do not replace it with the dashboard or a test environment address.

Authorization Authorization is the HTTP header that proves access with your Dattoria key.

YOUR_DATTORIA_MCP_TOKEN YOUR_DATTORIA_MCP_TOKEN marks where your key goes. Replace it in client settings; never send the key in an AI chat.

Do not replace the whole file

If your configuration already contains other servers, add Dattoria under the existing section. Do not create a duplicate section or remove unrelated settings.
